Jason DiBartolomeis graduated from the New York Institute of Massage in 2014 and added Ashiatsu Oriental Bar training in June of 2017.
Jason provides various types from therapeutic to deep tissue massage therapy. Additionally he trained in pregnancy massage and medical type of massages as well. But is wishing to mainly work with Ashiatsu Massage.
Ashiatsu means “Foot Pressure,” that uses deep stokes from the therapist feet. This is a western type of embodiment that dates back thousands of years from cultures across Asia, India, Africa and the Pacific Rim.
During an Ashiatsu session the client relaxes on a massage table white the therapist stands on the table holding onto overhead bars while using their feet to deliver massage. The advantage of this technique benefits both the therapist and the client. Ashiatsu allows the weight of the therapist to do all the work while the client receives a deeper type of massage that is unmatched by any other technique.
Ashiatsu is meant to feel like a mesmerizing Swedish massage with deep, long, flowing strokes that elongate the muscles and open up the spine as well.
